I dug up an old Instagram post from the first share house I lived in. I’ve always had a special affinity for Sydney and growing up I always knew that I would end up living here.
I was lucky that when I moved out there were options available to me, the last census data highlighted a decrease of young people in the Sydney electorate.
Diversifying our government means we have the opportunity to elect people who not only represent the community, but are committed to making this city liveable. When I talk about “electing a renter into Parliament”, it is about having a strong advocate to address the current housing crisis, but also someone who is planning for the future of Sydney.
